Ernesto Melchor, 41 years old of West Valley City, Utah, is dead following a car accident Sunday, May 9, 2010. According to the Salt Lake Tribune, this Utah fatal accident happened just before 11 p.m. According to reports, Melchor was headed north on I-215 at the time, lost control as he attempted to turn on to eastbound state Route 201. Melchor’s car rolled multiple times and he was ejected from the vehicle, flew 150 feet, actually landing in the eastbound lanes of State Road 201. Sadly, due to his not wearing his seat belt, the force of the collision, or both, Mr. Melchor was dead at the scene. Officers say they believe speed and impaired driving contributed to this fatal crash.
I send my sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Mechor who no doubt are suffering following this fatal crash.
