SUV Hits a Teenage Skateboarder in Salt Lake City, Utah

A teenage skateboarder was hit by an SUV on Thursday, April 5, 2012 and was reported to be in critical condition today. Investigating officials informed The Salt Lake Tribune that the 16-year-old boy was crossing the street near 2200 East Roosevelt Avenue in Salt Lake City, Utah. While he was crossing the road, a northbound SUV hit him. He was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries. The accident remains under investigation.

I offer my best wishes for a full and complete recovery to this boy.

I wish that we had more information on the accident. There is not enough information to know who might be at fault for this accident. In either case, it’s critical for drivers to remain alert when driving in Salt Lake City roadways. Pedestrians also need to be aware of surroundings when out and about.
