Fatigue Leads to Salt Lake City Truck Accident

A man driving a pickup truck while drowsy, caused a Salt Lake City car wreck when he crashed into a parked SUV in the early morning of April 25, 2011. According to KSL News, the crash happened around 3:30 in the morning when the truck drifted out of its lane into another truck and then into the parked SUV. The driver’s truck then rolled. Luckily, the man was wearing a seat belt and was protected from serious injury. The man confessed to the police that he was tired and may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

This story provides yet another example of the danger of driving while fatigued. The possible injury to the driver as well as to others, not to mention the property damage, makes driving while drowsy a no-win situation.
